Do you find that you’re spending a great deal of your time thinking
about how to survive the next couple of days or carrying out a
post-mortem on events of the past? Is your mind racing, thinking
ahead, worrying and judging, whilst you are feeling stressed to the
max, anxious or overwhelmed? Do you often find yourself on
automatic pilot? Whatever your professional background, if you
recognise any of these issues, it may be time for some investment
in ‘YOU’; to learn how to become your own best therapist!
This workshop offers participants the opportunity to appraise
their own stressors and foster a more flexible stress management
repertoire; the aim being to help clinician’s improve their own
self care. After all, isn’t it important to ‘practice what we
preach’?

- To help participants recognise their own stressors and stress
reactions
- To conceptualise physiological responses as cues for
change
- To learn strategies for managing stress more
effectively
