PiC opens a new Learning Disability Unit in Diss

Partnerships in Care (PiC) is pleased to announce the opening of
a new purpose built, medium secure learning disability unit at St
John’s House in Diss.
St John’s House, based near Diss on the Suffolk/Norfolk border,
is at the centre of the PiC Learning Disability Services and
provides a comprehensive range of services for people with learning
or other developmental disabilities, who present with challenging
behaviour. The new unit provides 32 beds in two spacious wards of
16 beds.
Fred Sinclair-Brown, Group Chief Executive, PiC said “The
opening of the new unit at St John’s House expands and strengthens
PiC’s recognised learning disability services.
“We believe that the optimum environment for patients is one
with a generous allocation of physical space and access to secure
open areas; this unit fulfils these criteria and allows our
clinical team to delivery their nationally recognised treatment
programmes in a quality setting.”
