EBITDA of £48.4 million - an increase of 22% - on revenues of
£152.9 million.
“We also exceeded the target we had set ourselves of having
1,000 beds available by the end of the year. At the start of
January 2008 we were able to offer 1,038 beds and we are well on
the way to exceed our goal of 1,200 beds by the end of the year.
Occupancy at our units also remains high at 87%.
“Over the course of 2007 we were able to invest over £39 million
on developing and upgrading our facilities ensuring that we
continued to develop patient care pathways and improve
outcomes.”
Kevin Beeston, Chairman of PiC, added:
“When I joined PiC in May last year, I said I was looking
forward to working with the management team to position the Group
for strong growth. Much has already been achieved and we continue
to gear up for the future. This year’s robust financial performance
demonstrates the stability and scale of our operations which will
enable us to make further investment in the business and in patient
outcomes going forward.”
