Pelham Woods

Provides Mental Illness and Personality Disorder services (women only)

Pelham Woods is a newly opened service for PiC, in the South East, which will provide care to meet the rehabilitative and ongoing needs of women with complex mental health problems and a history of challenging behaviour in a low secure environment. The care and treatment package provides a holistic, needs-led and evidence-based approach, which is based upon the philosophy of the recovery model.

The hospital is set in 4.9 acres of beautiful Surrey countryside with expanses of lawn and terraces. It occupies an elevated position just under one mile from Dorking town centre and enjoys outstanding views to Box Hill and Ranmore Common. There are various communal recreation areas within the facility. Creative activities are available in a purpose-built art room/workshop. Patients also have use of a practice kitchen.
