Rehabilitation Services
As a step to returning to a less secure environment, patients may progress from our Assessment and Treatment Services to our Continuing Care Services / Rehabilitation Services, Lombard House and Richmond House.
Lombard House and Richmond House are locked, community based rehabilitation services providing the ideal opportunity for patients to develop confidence, responsibility and skills for independent living in an appropriate setting whilst still participating fully in treatment.
They are small, home-style units based near the small towns of Attleborough and Harleston in Norfolk. They allow treatment and care in a non-threatening, therapeutic environment where the emphasis is on patients living together cohesively and sharing the daily tasks involved in the running of their homes. Patients use community facilities where they are able to build upon their social skills and self esteem. The units are both set in spacious gardens and grounds.
At all stages of the patients/residents journey, risk assessment will be an integral part of the care planning process to ensure the balance is maintained between safety, support and involvement.
Patient groups
Lombard House is a six-bedded unit, while Richmond House has eight beds. Both units are for patients with learning disabilities and related mental health problems including personality disorders, which may have had forensic histories or a past of displaying offending behaviour/s.
