Biographies

Christina Walsh
Regional Executive Director


Christina has been a Registered Nurse since 1990, and has worked in the independent care sector since 1993. These services have covered a variety of patient groups including younger adults, dementia, elderly and mental health services. Throughout her career Christina has worked in various roles and experiences within the independent sector. She has been in Senior Management roles since 1996. She is an experienced Unit Manager and Regional Manager, who has vast experience of managing services to ensure high standards of care are developed, maintained and that the service continually evolves in order to meet the changing needs of the patients. She has been a registered Manager with Health Authority, National Care Standards Commission and Commission for Social Care Inspection aswell as Registered Responsible Individual for large portfolio of care services. Christina has also completed a large number of post registration courses including the Registered Managers Award.

Christina started with PiC in November 2007, after moving from Bupa in order to expand her knowledge & experience in Brain Injury services to help grow and develop the existing services in Essex & Northampton.


Janet Luck
Unit Director


Janet qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1990 and after gaining 5 years post-registration experience in a surgical/medical setting, joined Partnerships in Care to work as a nurse at Grafton Manor, another Partnerships in Care brain injury rehabilitation facility in Northamptonshire.

Since joining the company in 1995, Janet has been charged with various roles and responsibilities, which include:
  • Shift Leader.
  • Programme and Rehabilitation Co-ordinator.
  • Manager of the Northampton based Community Rehabilitation and Supported Living Facility (CRSL).
  • Unit Manager at Elm Park.
  • Currently holds the position of Unit Director at Brain Injury Services Essex.
During her employ with Partnerships in Care, Janet has been awarded the Diploma in Healthcare Management, a course designed jointly between Partnerships in Care and Heriot Watt University and validated by Heriot Watt University. She has completed studies for the Diploma in Company Direction with the Institute of Directors.


Jo Rassell
Registered Manager


Joanna is a registered Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) and since qualifying in 1996 has worked with adults with a variety of neurological disorders and, more recently, with adults with behavioural problems following a severe Acquired Brain Injury or a Learning Disability.

Joanna joined Partnerships in Care in 1997 and initially worked solely as an SLT but found that she had a keen interest in behavioural disorders following an acquired brain injury. She had the opportunity to develop her role to work with each individual in a more holistic manner and subsequently became Rehabilitation Manager, focusing specifically on communication, eating and behaviour disorders.

Since the end of 2006 Joanna has been managing the Community Rehabilitation and Supported Living service (CRSL Essex) as well as continuing to provide Speech and Language Therapy for the residents at Elm Park. More recently Joanna has also been providing assessments and communication programmes for the residents and staff at Oaktree Manor.
