Abbey House
Provides Mental Illness, Personality Disorder and Learning Disability services (men only)
Abbey House offers treatment and rehabilitation in an open facility for men with enduring mental health difficulties. This recently opened service provides a therapeutic focus on learning new skills and the maintenance of skills necessary for community living, as well as promoting independence and improving their quality of life.
Abbey House is located in its own attractive grounds in the village of Malvern Wells, Worcestershire. It offers a homely environment; all patients have their own en suite bedrooms. Facilities for daytime activities and recreation include a large lounge, a conservatory and access to therapy facilities.
Patient groups
- Male patients aged from 18 years upwards, who are liable to be detained under the Mental Health Act 1983
- Patients with a mental disorder, who require further recovery and ongoing rehabilitation and may need continuing support for some considerable time
