Giving our patients
the best in psychiatric care
We recognise that to keep giving our patients the best in psychiatric care,
we need the best professionals to deliver it. Meeting the needs of our patient's
means we have to be flexible with our staff requirements, so we operate
a Bank of staff who are themselves flexible to meet the changing requirements
and demands.
The people working on our Bank are offered work, which if it meets their
availability or life commitments, they complete - and are paid for the hours
they actually work.
The roles covered by our Bank include:
- Nursing
- Healthcare
- Reception
- Housekeeping
- Catering
- Admin
- Maintenance
Our
Bank staff bring with them experience and relevant qualifications
and use their skill and expertise in their chosen field. Often
they seek opportunities to extend their experience, fit their
availability around their other commitments or simply take shifts
to supplement their income. Whatever the reason, they work with
us to ensure the services we provide are patient focused and
make a difference.
Bank staff accrue holiday based on 20 days per year pro-rated
on their working hours. In addition, Bank staff can make pension
contributions to a stakeholder pension scheme supported by Partnerships
in Care.
Our Staff Bank staff are kept up to date with opportunities that meet
their skills and abilities and where we can we plan shifts in
advance, although, obviously there are times that we have to
make requests with very short notice. All the scheduling and
contact is managed by our Bank coordinators who work hard to
match Bank staff aspirations and our requirements.
All our Bank staff undergo full induction and have support with
their professional development as appropriate. They also
have access to the internal 'jobshop' and can apply for permanent
roles as appropriate.
