The Ayr Clinic
Provides mental illness, personality disorder and learning
disability services (men and women)
The Ayr Clinic is the most recent addition to the PiC portfolio
of services. It offers low secure psychiatric facilities for men
and women from the age of 16. The Ayr Clinic is approximately 40
minutes from Glasgow close to the centre of the seaside town of
Ayr.
Our committed multidisciplinary team provides high quality, 24 hour
therapeutic care with dignity, security and privacy. The treatment
programme comprises a comprehensive assessment period in which a
clear treatment pathway and individual daily programme is
developed. A wide range of care and treatment is offered. Initial
focus is on achieving stability and treating symptoms; care then
progresses to rehabilitative therapies and development of skills in
preparation for reintegration into the community.
This unit provides a dedicated rehabilitation for males and females
with a mental disorder which may include mental illness,
personality disorder or mild learning disability.
