David Boyle
NVQ and Nurse Competency Coordinator
I qualified as a Registered Mental Health Nurse back in 1987 and
worked my way up from Staff NHS Nurse to senior management in the
private sector. Going full-circle, I decided again to become a
Staff Nurse with Partnerships in Care, because I wanted a new
challenge in a fresh aspect of Mental Health.
A year on, I’m now NVQ Coordinator - a job that’s all about
encouraging people to make the best of themselves. I’ve always
believed that with enthusiasm, vision and the right support, you
can achieve anything. Here, there are so many opportunities at all
levels. We make sure that we give people the chance to develop
themselves and make a real difference – both with their patients,
and in how they work together.
I’d say it’s comes down to openness, honesty and a genuine
desire to help others. When you have that, you have the makings of
a culture that supports and benefits everyone involved. So even if
you join with no qualifications, you’re straight into a foundation
programme that will support you through the early stages and set
you on course to become a qualified nurse.
I’m so proud to work here – it’s one of the best decisions I
ever made. Partnerships in Care is full of amazing people who work
tirelessly in very challenging environments to achieve
extraordinary results.
